So, as you all know, yesterday was the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine (Kate) Middleton, the new Duke & Duchess of Cambridge. I stayed up all night to watch the coverage and I thought it was beautiful. I’m glad I stayed awake for it.
The people who thought the wedding lacked emotion obviously don’t realize that PDA is not allowed in the Church of England (that’s why there was no “you may now kiss the bride). But I could definitely see the affection they have for each other with some of the looks they were giving each other throughout the ceremony. Besides, it was a Royal Wedding, so naturally, it’s going to be more formal than other weddings. I mean, come on, they’re going to be the King and Queen of England one day.
I thought Kate looked beautiful and her (and Pippa’s) dress was gorgeous. Will and Harry both looked pretty dapper in their uniforms. I also thought the Queen looked very elegant and regal in her yellow dress and hat.
I did fall asleep before the balcony kisses, yes there were two, but I saw the replays. I thought it was a very sweet and adorable moment, even if it was planned and rehearsed. William & Catherine, as she’s supposed to be called now, look very happy together and I hope they have a very long and happy life together.
Yesterday was a very beautiful day of celebration and joy, which I think the world has been lacking both lately and to all the negative people out there, you need to grow up. We should all be happy for these two people who have found the person who makes them happy and whom they want to spend the rest of their lives with. We should all be so lucky as they are.
