This a poem I wrote in honor of my friend who was KIA on September 17, 2008. I wrote it a couple months after he died, but I haven’t shown it to anyone until today, Memorial Day 2011.
Who would have known
That it would be so hard
For me to let you go,
After all you’ve done
For us back here at home.
You risked it all,
And gave it all,
For me to be free
To live my life
And to follow my dreams.
I miss you so much
And it’s just so hard
For me to move on
Knowing that you’re gone
And I’m never going to see you
Standing so tall,
Looking so proud
Of a job well done.
You risked it all,
And gave it all,
For me to be free
To live my life
And to follow my dreams.
And I’m so proud to say
That you’re my hero
Everyday.
Because you risked it all,
And you gave it all,
So that I will be free
To live my life
And to follow my dreams.
Hello to my lovely followers (and anyone else who might be reading this). I have decided to start making vlogs more often; meaning I’m going to TRY to make a short vlog every Monday, Wednesday and Friday (and probably some in between) on youtube.
Do I think people actually want to know about my life?
No, not really. I just think it would be fun to document my day to day life.
What do I expect from vlogging?
Nothing. I just want to do it for fun. If people want to watch it, then that’s awesome. If people hate it, then whatever. I’m just doing it for me.
Are people going to be mean just to make their pathetic little lives a bit more interesting for the few seconds it takes to post a comment?
Probably, but I’m not going to let them stop me.
What’s going to happen to the Kat’s Calls channel?
Nothing. It’s still going to be there. I’m still going to make Kat’s Calls videos every once in a while when I come across something interesting to review. I’m also thinking about starting a weekly video talking about all the Youtube videos & other Internet content that I find funny or interesting from that week which will be posted on the Kat’s Calls channel.
So, if you’re interested in checking out any of those visit my Vlogging Channel or Kat’s Calls Channel. You can also follow me on Twitter or Wordpress. I also have an Animated Channel that needs some work, but you can check it out if you want.
If you really want to be my BFF you can buy a T-shirt or two (or ten) from my SpreadShirt Shop. I will be donating 100% of my shop commission from the Storm specific shirts & 50% of my commission from everything else to the Red Cross from now through June 30th. After June 30th, the Storm shirts will be discontinued.
Thanks for reading! You’re all awesome!
XOXO,
Kat
We had some more tornado threats today. It’s craziness. I’m REALLY starting to hate living down here. I usually like thunderstorms, but recently they’ve just become stressful and annoying.
This has been one of the most deadly Tornado seasons in history and I am EXTREMELY thankful that we have stayed safe and haven’t had any damage. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for so many others. Please send your thoughts and prayers to all of the tornado victims across the country and if you can, please donate to the Red Cross and/or other relief efforts.
Also, I am donating 100% of what I make from every #PrayForJoplin or “Help Weather the Storms” item and 50% from everything else sold at my shop (katmurakami.spreadshirt.com) to the Red Cross from now through June 30th. So PLEASE go check out my items.
I can’t embed the video on Tumblr, so here’s the link instead. I think this song goes perfectly with the mood of the Kat’s Calls video I’m uploading today, which I’ll post on here when it’s done processing. :) Enjoy.
Sorry I missed posting yesterday. I was super busy helping my sister get things ready for the baby shower for our brother and sister-in-law (it’s going to be a boy!). I’m going to be super busy today too, but I figured I should squeeze in a little time for my blog.
I’ll be posting a Kat’s Calls video on here later on plus I’ll post a music video from Blake Shelton that I think goes along nicely with said Kat’s Calls. :)
So, that’s pretty much it. Thanks for reading.
XOXO,
Kat
